Manage Agile Hive Issue Type Schemes

 

 



Introduction

Agile Hive provides a collection of non-mandatory Jira Issue Type Schemes, designed to effectively initiate your Teams, Agile Release Trains (ARTs), and scaled organizational units within a SAFe® framework.

This page offers comprehensive details about the Issue Type Schemes included with Agile Hive. You will find guidance on how to effectively create and configure these schemes, along with an overview of other available options related to Issue Type Schemes when using the app.

 

Prerequisites

In order to create Agile Hive Issue Type Schemes it is required to create all of the Agile Hive Issue Types first. For more information on Agile Hive Issue Types please refer to Manage Agile Hive Issue Types.

 

Overview of Agile Hive Issue Type Schemes

Each of the Issue Type Schemes for projects on the various SAFe® layers contains a dedicated set of Agile Hive Issue Types. Please note that the overview below only lists the Issue Types originally included with Agile Hive by default.

Agile Hive - Portfolio - Issue Type Scheme

Issue Type Scheme for Portfolio projects in Agile Hive

Default: Portfolio Epic

Contains: Portfolio Epic, Strategic Theme, Enabler

Agile Hive - Large Solution - Issue Type Scheme

Issue Type Scheme for Large Solution projects in Agile Hive

Default: Capability

Contains: Capability, Objective, Risk, Enabler, Milestone

Agile Hive - ART - Issue Type Scheme

Issue Type Scheme for Agile Release Train projects in Agile Hive

Default: Feature

Contains: Feature, Objective, Risk, Enabler, Milestone

Agile Hive - Team - Issue Type Scheme

 

Create Agile Hive Issue Type Schemes

As a Jira administrator, navigate to the ‘Apps’ administration of your Jira Cloud site. Select ‘Agile Hive’ in the sidebar on the left and then go to the tab ‘Issue Type Schemes’.

On this page you find an overview of all Issue Type Schemes Agile Hive provides and the state of each of the schemes for your Jira site. In case one or more Issue Type Schemes are missing simply click the ‘Create Issue Type Schemes’ button to create any missing schemes.

Troubleshooting

In case one or more Issue Type Schemes cannot be created please make sure that no other Issue Type Scheme with the same name already exists in your Jira site. Also, double-check that all Agile Hive Issue Types have been successfully set up prior to creating the Issue Type Schemes.
