Manage Agile Hive Workflow Schemes
Introduction
Agile Hive comes with predefined Workflow Schemes for projects on every SAFe® layer. To easily make your Jira projects SAFe®-friendly, you will need to add the Workflow Schemes provided by Agile Hive as they make use of the provided workflows that adhere to the official framework methodology.
There’s no obligation to use the built-in Workflows or Workflow Schemes of Agile Hive. In case your site has well-established Workflows and Workflow Schemes already available you can configure them in Agile Hive and still experience the full featureset of the app. Also, you can edit or extend the default Workflow Schemes that come with Agile Hive to meet your company’s specific needs.
Prerequisites
Make sure you’re logged in with a Jira user holding at least Jira Administrator permission.
In order to create Agile Hive Workflow Schemes it is required to create all of the Agile Hive Workflows first. For more information on Agile Hive Workflows please refer to Manage Agile Hive Workflows.
Overview of Agile Hive Workflow Schemes
Each of the Workflow Schemes for projects on the various SAFe® layers contains a dedicated set of Agile Hive Workflows for specific Agile Hive Work Types. Please note that the overview below only contains the Workflows originally included with Agile Hive by default.
Agile Hive - Portfolio - Workflow Scheme
This Workflow Scheme is designed for projects on the Portfolio level in Agile Hive.

Create Agile Hive Workflow Schemes
As a Jira administrator, navigate to the ‘Apps’ administration of your Jira Cloud site. Select ‘Agile Hive’ in the sidebar on the left and then go to the tab ‘Workflow Schemes’.
On this page you find an overview of all Workflow Schemes Agile Hive provides and the state of each of the Workflow Schemes for your Jira site. In case one or more Workflow Schemes are missing simply click the ‘Create Workflow Schemes’ button to create any missing Workflow Schemes.
Troubleshooting
In case one or more Workflow Schemes cannot be created please make sure that no other Workflow Scheme with the same name already exists in your Jira site. Also, double-check that all Agile Hive Workflows have been successfully set up prior to creating the Workflow Schemes.
