• Configure Project Member in Agile Hive: Agile Hive Administrators can now set up project members within the Agile Hive Project Settings. This enables them to assign specific roles to each project member and arrange them in a desired order. These project members will later be displayed on the Reports Dashboard, which is scheduled for release later this year. Make the most of the time leading up to the release by configuring project members for your SAFe® projects in preparation.
  Important: Configuring project members in Agile Hive does not impact any project-related settings in Jira. Also, it does not assign Jira permissions or assign project roles to Jira users.

• Issue Type Mapping for Projects on Portfolio Level: Agile Hive now offers Issue Type Mapping for projects on Portfolio level. Agile Hive Administrators can now configure mappings between Jira issue types and the functionalities provided by the application (e.g., Milestones, Strategic Themes). You have the option to either employ the predefined issue types that come with Agile Hive for a quick start or configure mappings for your own issue types on a per-project basis (remember to include the necessary Custom Fields in the project's Jira Screens).

• Display Milestones in Roadmap Boards: You can now display Milestones at the ART, Solution Train, and Portfolio levels on the Roadmap Board. Each Milestone issue within the Jira project will feature a small icon in the top row of the roadmap section, signaling the presence of one or more Milestones planned for a specific date. To include Milestones on the Roadmap Board, simply configure the Milestone Date Custom Field for Milestone issues. Hover over a Milestone icon to view additional details, and click on a Milestone icon to display the complete issue.

• Conveniently perform JQL search for all child issues with one click: It is essential to monitor the progress of all child issues associated with a Portfolio Epic, Capability, or ART Feature to stay informed about the overall status. Agile Hive has introduced a new feature in the Agile Hive issue context in the right-hand sidebar of Jira’s issue view that simplifies the process of finding all child issues related to a specific task. This feature provides the issue ID along with a concise link to Jira's issue browser. The issue search is pre-configured with a JQL query to display all child issues for the selected issue.

• Filter Team Boards using JQL: You can customize the Team Planning Board by applying a JQL filter now as well, just similar to Roadmap Boards. This filter query will be used to narrow down the displayed issues on the board, helping you focus on the relevant tasks and eliminating any unnecessary information that could be distracting for you and your team.
  You have the flexibility to use various JQL parameters (excluding ORDER BY) in combination to filter the board. Simply enter your filter criteria and press 'Enter' to apply the filter. To clear the filter, just erase the input field and press 'Enter' again.

• Custom Fields for WSJF Prioritization: Agile Hive has introduced dedicated Custom Fields designed for the storage of WSJF-specific information such as Job Size, User Business Value, RROE (Risk Reduction / Opportunity Enablement), and Time Criticality. Using this information, WSJF prioritization value is being calculated for each affected issue in real-time. You can access WSJF-specific details within the 'Agile Hive' issue context, conveniently located in the right-hand sidebar of Jira's issue detail view.
  WSJF is available for all issues on ART, Solution Train, and Portfolio level except for issues of type Objective, Risk, and Milestone.

• Custom Field for Milestones: Agile Hive has introduced another dedicated Custom Field designed for the storage of Milestone Date for issues of type Milestone. Using this information, Agile Hive will be able to display Milestones in Roadmap Boards for projects on ART, Solution Train, and Portfolio level.
  This Custom Field will serve as the cornerstone for Reports that will be integrated into Agile Hive later this year.

Improvements

• Combined Date Picker for Planned Start and End Date: In order to set the Planned Start Date and Planned End Date for issues at the ART, Solution Train, and Portfolio levels, a combined Date Picker has been introduced. This tool allows you to select a date range instead of having to input two separate dates, enhancing the ease of adding issues to Roadmap Boards. You can access this new Date Picker within Jira's issue detail view by navigating to the 'Agile Hive' issue context in the right-hand sidebar.

• Save and Share JQL Board Filters via URL: Filter queries set for Roadmap and Team Boards in JQL are now automatically appended to the current URL in your web browser. This convenient feature allows you to create bookmarks for filtered boards or share them effortlessly with your colleagues. To do this, just copy the URL from your browser's address bar after applying a JQL filter to a board, and you can either share it with others or save it for later use. Agile Hive will instantly take you to the filtered view when you access the link.

• Issue Link Type Mapping for Risk and Objectives: Agile Hive Administrators now have the capability to establish Jira Issue Type mappings. This allows for linking Risks with the issues addressing those risks and connecting Objectives with the issues that contribute to them.
  The Jira Issue Link Types mapped here will be used to identify and display information in Agile Hive Reports, coming to the product later this year.

• Custom Field ‘Assigned PIs’ for Objectives and Risks: We have added a new Custom Field ‘Assigned PIs’ in Agile Hive that allows users to associate issues categorized as Objectives and Risks with one or more Planning Intervals (PIs), up to a maximum of five. This feature assists Teams, Agile Release Trains (ARTs), and Solution Trains in their Objective planning for the upcoming PI, while also aiding in the identification and tracking of potential Risks throughout the process.
  This Custom Field will serve as one of the cornerstone for visualizing PI Objectives and Risks within Reports that will be integrated into Agile Hive later this year.

Improvements

• Hierarchical links for PI Objectives across Teams, ARTs, and Solution Trains: Hierarchically linking one Objective to another has become simpler than before. To ensure that the PI Objective hierarchy is set up correctly, it's now a requirement that issues categorized as Objectives within each project can only be linked to other issues of the same type using the SAFe® Hierarchy panel.

• Skip Large Solution layer when hierarchically linking issues: Within Full SAFe® project hierarchies, it is now possible to establish direct hierarchical links between issues at the ART and Portfolio levels without the requirement of including an issue at the Large Solution layer. This approach offers a more precise representation of the interconnectedness of individual work components within the big picture.

• More robust Issuetype mapping in project settings: When configuring issuetype mappings for Agile Hive functionality in project settings, you will now be presented with only those issuetypes that correspond to the scheme assigned to the current project. This enhances the reliability of setting up issuetype mappings and ensures that Agile Hive Administrators cannot establish mappings with issuetypes that are not accessible within a particular project.

• Custom Fields for Objectives: Agile Hive has introduced dedicated Custom Fields designed for the storage of Objective-specific details such as Planned Business Value, Actual Business Value, and the status of an Objective being committed or not.
  These Custom Fields will serve as the cornerstone for Reports that will be integrated into Agile Hive later this year.

• Project-specific settings: Agile Hive Administrators now have access to a new navigation entry called ‘Project Settings' for each project. Within this section, there’s all project-specific configurations related to Agile Hive functionality. Currently, the only available settings tab is for Issuetype mapping, but additional tabs will be introduced gradually.

• Project-specific issuetype mapping: Agile Hive offers dedicated features tailored to specific issue types like Risks and Objectives. To ensure Agile Hive identifies the appropriate issue type as a basis for delivering these features, Agile Hive Administrators can now configure mappings between Jira issue types and the functionalities provided by the application. You have the option to either employ the predefined issue types that come with Agile Hive for a quick start or configure mappings for your own issue types on a per-project basis (remember to include the necessary Custom Fields in the project's Jira Screens).

Improvements

• Exclude Risks, Objectives, and Milestones from Roadmap and Team boards: Issues mapped as Risk, Objective, and Milestone for a project will no longer appear on the Roadmap and Team boards because they are not directly planned within the timeline. Instead, we will introduce a Custom Field for issues of these types with the next app release, allowing them to be assigned to a specific Planning Interval (PI).
  For the time being, you can utilize Jira Query Language (JQL) to retrieve a list of all issues assigned to a particular PI. In the future, there will be a dedicated section in the project's Reports for Objectives, Risks, and Milestones, providing a comprehensive overview.
  This Custom Field will serve as the cornerstone for Reports that will be integrated into Agile Hive later this year.

• Initial creation of predefined Jira entities: Over the last few weeks, we received a growing number of support requests related to creating Jira entities like Issuetypes, Screens, Statuses, and Workflows that come with Agile Hive. • Agile Hive Workflow Schemes: There are now Workflow Schemes available for Agile Hive specific project and Issue Type configuration. These Workflow Schemes can be utilized alongside Agile Hive's Issuetypes and Workflows, allowing you to set up SAFe® compatible projects swiftly and effortlessly.

• Agile Hive Issue Type Screen Schemes: There are now Issue Type Screen Schemes available for Agile Hive specific Screen Scheme and Issue Type configuration. You can employ these Issue Type Screen Schemes to associate Screen Schemes with Issue Types, ensuring that all necessary Custom Fields for specific Agile Hive functionality are appropriately assigned in your projects.

• Agile Hive Issue Link Types for Objectives and Risks: During the initial setup of Agile Hive, Jira Administrators are now responsible for creating Issue Link Types that are specific to Agile Hive. This requirement extends to the existing Agile Hive Dependency link, as well as to newly introduced Issue Link Types for Objects and Risks.

• Cross-Team dependency indicator for collapsed team projects: Within Team boards, users can now identify unresolved critical dependencies between their own project and other team projects within the same ART (Agile Release Train) without having to expand those projects on the board. A new indicator has been introduced, which is automatically displayed next to the team where a critical dependency is present. This enhancement empowers users to keep track of and address these dependencies during PI planning.

• Wording updates for SAFe® 6.0: We have made some more updates to the naming of certain components, such as statuses, workflows, and screens, to further improve alignment with the latest SAFe® 6.0 terminology.

• Consistent positioning of planned issues in Roadmap Boards: Issues scheduled on a Roadmap Board are now saved along with their precise positioning. This leads to a more uniform manner of presenting issues on the Roadmap Board, whether the page is refreshed or revisited later. Additionally, this enhances the consistency of using roadmaps for all users.

• Optimized initial duration for issues planned in Roadmap Boards: We have adjusted the initial duration applied to issues that are planned within the Roadmap Boards.

  • ART level roadmap: 21 days

  • Large Solution roadmap: 30 days

  • Portfolio roadmap: 60 days

• ‘PI Involvement’ field stability: Fixed a bug with the PI Involvement field, which was showing inaccurate details for issues scheduled across multiple sprints within different PIs.

• Improved performance for Roadmap and Team boards: Loading and displaying data on Roadmap and Team boards has been enhanced to be up to three times faster, resulting in a more efficient and convenient PI planning process.

• Identify Jira sprints linked with PI iterations: In Team boards, the name of the Jira sprint associated with each iteration is now visible in a tooltip that appears when hovering over an iteration in the board header.

• Access to ‘Help' menu in Jira administration: Jira administrators now have the ability to access the 'Help' menu while configuring global settings for Agile Hive. This provides them with a seamless way to access the product documentation, submit helpdesk requests, and display version information.

Bugfixes

• ‘PI Involvement’ field errors: Fixed several bugs associated with the 'PI Involvement' Custom Field within issues on Team layer projects, which were causing the field to not display any information. The field should now be fully operational again.

• Check for available Status when generating Workflows: Fixed a bug that resulted in the failure of Agile Hive Workflows generation immediately after creating the Statuses. This occurred due to the validation check not properly refreshing the status data received from Jira.

• Update parent relationship in Team boards without reload: Agile Hive now updates the board without requiring a full reload after changing an issue's parent using the edit modal dialogue on a Team board.

• Automatically add app information to new helpdesk inquiries: Upon creating a new helpdesk inquiry from the 'Help' menu in Agile Hive, certain technical information is now automatically included in the inquiry. This information comprises the short hash, commit date, and version tag.
  It's important to note that no personal data and no issue data is shared through this process.

Bugfixes

• Server error when dragging issues in Team boards: Fixed a rare bug that caused a server error when dragging an issue card on a Team board for an extended period of time.

• Visibility of ‘Help’ button in light mode: Fixed a display problem with the 'Help' button in light theme, which arose after implementing support for the dark theme.

• Planned duration for issues in Roadmap boards: Fixed a bug where issues added to the Roadmap board initially had a duration of 8 days instead of 7, causing them to deviate from the drag & drop placeholder indication.

• Sidebar behavior in Team board empty state: Fixed a bug on Team boards where the 'Unplanned Issues' sidebar failed to display relevant issue information when no PI had been created for that team. The sidebar is now completely disabled as long as there is no PI available for a team to make users aware that planning is only feasible after a PI has been created on the Large Solution or ART level.

• Open Jira project: With this update, accessing Jira projects from Agile Hive has become more convenient than ever. A new shortcut icon has been introduced right next to the project name in the project navigation. Now, with just a single click on the icon, you can instantly open your project in Jira. This enhancement allows you to swiftly access the backlog, Scrum board, and Jira reports, streamlining your workflow and saving you valuable time.

• Date information in Roadmap Boards: In the Roadmap boards, you will now find the start and end dates for Planning Intervals and Iterations displayed when planning issues. This provides you with a clear overview of the timeframes involved, making the planning process more transparent and efficient.

• Dark Mode support: As part of our continuous efforts to improve dark mode compatibility in Agile Hive, we have made significant enhancements. We achieved this by carefully exchanging and improving colors for both the dark and light themes. These updates ensure a more seamless and visually pleasing experience for users who prefer using dark mode while working in Agile Hive.

• Access to changelog: We have introduced a new addition to the "Help" dropdown, allowing users to conveniently access this changelog. Now, you can easily find and refer to the changelog whenever needed, making it simpler to stay updated on the latest changes and improvements.

• Server error when removing issues from Team board: Fixed a bug that occurred when attempting to remove an issue, which had already been included in a completed sprint, from a Team board. With this fix, the issue removal process now functions smoothly, ensuring a more seamless experience while managing your Team board and sprint-related tasks.

• Display cross-team dependencies within your team’s ART: In PI Planning, it is important to consider dependencies not only within your own team but also with other teams that are working on the same features within the ART. You have the ability to view other teams' planning progress directly on the Team board, which allows you to identify critical dependencies and make adjustments to your team's planning accordingly. The board represents each team with its own dedicated swimlane, and all teams, except the one that has ownership of the board, are in read-only mode

• Dark Mode support: With this update, we have introduced initial support for Jira's new Dark Mode feature (You can change the Jira theme in the user menu located at the top right corner of the screen). Please note that while we continue to enhance dark mode compatibility in upcoming versions, certain interface elements may not fully adapt to the dark theme yet. • Infinite loading indicator for ‘Parent Issue’ column in Issue List: Fixed a bug that caused the loading state of the 'Parent Issue' column to persist when there was no parent linked to an issue.

• Parent issue indicator in Roadmap and Team Boards: In order to more effectively keep track of hierarchical relationships for issues in Roadmap and Team Boards, we implemented a new colored lozenge that indicates whether an issue is already linked with a parent issue. This addition allows users to concentrate on specific topics during planning. Clicking on the lozenge opens up the parent issue in a new browser tab.

Improvements

• Empty state harmonization: The appearance of the empty state in the 'Groups' settings of Agile Hive Jira Administration has been updated to align with the empty states found elsewhere in the application.

• SAFe® 6.0 wording updates: We have made updates to the naming of certain components, such as statuses, workflows, and screens, to ensure alignment with the latest SAFe® 6.0 terminology.

• Create Workflows shipped with Agile Hive: Fixed a bug where Jira Admins encountered difficulties when attempting to create workflows shipped with Agile Hive, particularly when certain default statuses in Jira (such as "ToDo") were absent from the system. Agile Hive now includes a check for Jira's default statuses and automatically sets them up if they are not already present.

• View project in Agile Hive: Accessing Agile Hive views while working in the Scrum board or Backlog view of Jira has been made more convenient. • Agile Hive Screens: There are now Screen templates available for Agile Hive specific project and issue type configuration. With those Screens we’re preparing the introduction of Screen Schemes in one of the next versions.

• Navigating PIs in Team Boards: You can now navigate planned, current, and completed PIs for a Team when viewing its board. This allows for pre-planning of future PIs as well as reflecting on PIs already completed.

• Dependency Filter: To get a better understanding of critical dependencies you can now set a filter to view only a relevant subset of all issue dependencies in a Team or Roadmap board.

• Delete PIs: Agile Hive Administrators can now delete selected PIs via PI & Iteration Management for Large Solution and ART projects. When deleting a PI it is possible to either keep Jira sprints on the Team level linked to the respective PI or also delete them.

• Onboarding Tour: First-time users of Agile Hive are now being displayed with an onboarding tour for all views and important features. A tour usually consists of multiple steps that briefly explain features and views the user has not yet interacted with.
