The configuration checklist for Jira Administrators contains a bunch of tasks. While most of them are optional, there still are some of them that at least require your attention once. The list below will help you quickly identify the setup steps you should take a closer look at.

Agile Hive provides a lot of SAFe® specific functionality that will enable your organization to use Jira in a scaled agile environment. In order for the users of this Jira instance to be able to use these features to their full extent, Agile Hive requires certain information as a data basis.
This information is collected and stored via a set of Custom Fields, which are essential for the provision of the associated functionality.

You can decide whether or not to use the built-in Agile Hive Screens for projects on all SAFe® layers. Agile Hive Screens are required to create Agile Hive Screen Schemes and Agile Hive Issue Type Screen Schemes.
In case you want to use your existing Screens for some or all projects with Agile Hive, please make sure to check Configure Jira Projects For Use With Agile Hive for detailed information on how to prepare existing Screens.
